Nature Republic: Bee Venom Toner & Emulsion

Toner and Emulsion!

I've never found a product that could get rid of the redness in my face and unfortunately this ain't the product but let's talk about this product first.

I got this from Steve's mom as a gift when she went to Korea last December she actually gave me like 3 boxes because it was packaged together for a deal. I gave one box to Ashley and I'm currently using my first box.

 unfortunately no pump

I love Nature Republic but I wish they would update their packaging just a bit with a pump. Perhaps maybe it keeps the cost of the product down, but I feel like I'm wasting a lot of product when I'm trying to get it out of the damn bottle and I can't really put it back in without contaminating the whole bottle of product >.<

What the tops look like

These bottles are plastic and they actually have quite a nice bottle just add the damn pump! lol

In terms of using the product, the toner absorbs quite well, you can kind of feel it absorb into the skin... its hard to explain and it doesn't sting or anything when you put it on your skin and it keeps your skin nice and moisturized and it smells quite nice, I can't really describe the scent its like .... floral and earthy LOL I have no idea.

Light Emulsion

I think the emulsion is the problem for me, if you use too much your skin will look and feel oily and because you have to bang it onto your hand to get the emulsion out its a little hard to control how much comes out. Its not a thick emulsion its actually quite light but I found it a bit odd that it could make my skin so oily, maybe I have to use less? but even if I use less the same thing happens.

These two products at first did help with the redness of my skin but eventually it just stopped working maybe within a week or two of using the product it just stopped working for me and I've used this for months now. Maybe I have to use the whole bee venom line? I know they have way more products that I wish I tried with the toner and emulsion (like the cleanser or the spot treatment, sleep mask, sheet mask... list goes on)

I think I'm gonna switch it up next month and see if I can find a longer lasting redness reduction product for me.

Sasa Order - A small package

 Trying some new stuff

I ordered about 4 products a few weeks ago and it finally came! There wasn't anything I really needed besides a new cleanser because somebody was using all of mine! -___-'

Of course I took advantage of their free shipping over $40 worth of stuff offer so that's why I didn't order so much but next order... there's gonna be a lot more stuff lol.

 Skin Food - Black Egg Pore Primer

I've never really tried a primer before. When I wear foundation or BB Cream I just make sure my skin is moisturized. I have used the BB Boomer by Missha when I use their BB cream but I don't really think it does anything.. lol

 Shiseido - Perfect Whip Foam Cleanser

I've heard such good things about this cleanser that I wanted to try it out, I've been using nothing but Korean brand cleansers for the past two years so I thought I'd change it up. If creamy/foam cleansers aren't your thing then there's also a gel version and a cleansing oil that I'm interested in trying but I've never used a cleansing oil before...

Koji - Eye Talk Eyelid Glue

I'm working on a post with this at the moment lol but I've been wanting to try this for a long time and I finally purchased it! Hopefully it won't disappoint.

Sana - Liquid Eyeliner

I actually didn't really want to buy this.. but it had good reviews.. lol I can't really wear eyeliner because of my monolid but more about that later haha.

Finally I have some time to make some posts! This last semester at school really took over more time than I have hoped... but I hope you stick around :)

They're Moving!

HOLY CRAP!

THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME well not exactly but its going to be happening soon, Steve and his mom are finally moving out of our house! ^____^ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wooooo!

Ever since his mom came back to Canada its been hell for all of us, she's soooo needy! She tries to play it off like she's the quietest, most understanding, least resource consuming person in the house but its total opposite of that >.<

we had the highest water/electric bill we've had in years ($600!!! wtf!) double from last year and I automatically knew that it was his fucking stupid mom because I know she uses the most water and electricity in the house. She would leave all the fucking lights on and then leave the house! wtf! and when she showers she'll leave it running while using the sink to brush her teeth or w/e, and its like wtf do that shit first then shower! She tried to blame my parents for it and I was like wtf? Its not like they're asking you to pay for it, they're just telling you to use less water and turn off the fucking lights. But she got overly offended when we told her to limit the usage of water and electricity. -___-'

Lately she has been stressing the shit out of Steve, he's grown TONS of white hairs. Its mainly her asking him to do stupid shit for her that she can easily do but she decides to be fucking lazy. This morning she got upset at him and threw his bag, backpack and tool box at the door, blocking it... why? Because he wouldn't send a fucking email to her friend LOL WTF!

Oh and its his only day off during the week since he works and goes to school (works 4 days a week and goes to school 4 days a week) So I try to let him sleep in as much as he can but she woke him up at 9AM to delete one sentence off her resume and to send an email to her friend.

I'm so fucking frustrated at her because these things she can easily fucking do for herself, and I'm pretty sure she knows how to do this shit, she's just being lazy. She should fucking learn to let him relax at least one day a week like WTF such a selfish woman she doesn't even think about her kids. I think she's one of those Asian parents who think that if you give them money/buy them stuff that means they automatically owe them something.

Ever since she "graduated" from her care aid program she's been desperately searching for an apartment to rent with Steve and his sister LOL. I put "graduated" in quotes because she didn't do ANY of her homework assignments and made us do it for her. She's been constantly harassing us all to write her a cover letter and resume and she actually flew out his sister for 3 days to write her resume and cover letter -___-' but I guess all her "hard work" finally paid off because she has an interview at the Lynn Valley retirement home, which I think she will get the job and then I will lose faith in humanity lol.

Anyways, the sooner they move out, the sooner I don't have to deal with her narcissism -__-'

Never in my life have I met someone like his mom, I even told Steve that when they leave I don't want to visit/see her for like many many years LOL. All of our friends (as well as my parents) have said that Steve is going to die young because his mom won't let him live his own life and he's going to stress out and die.

They've had a few arguments this month mainly because she doesn't want him to play video games on his down time and she wants him to study more lol (he doesn't play excessively like he did before) but it got to the point where she just won't shut up about it and she called him selfish! LOL OMG! I was like are you kidding me?! He was like WTF, he got so angry, he confronted her about her selfishness and left the house for a few hours, she wasn't even upset about it at all.

Steve hates it when we talk about his family, he really doesn't want people to think he comes from a dysfunctional family but he really does but who am I to judge? My mom's super psycho because she's got dementia and shit and my dad cares about his kids and all but he doesn't really care about how badly our mom treats us.

I want to break up with him because of his mom lol but he's a good guy in general he's just on tons of stress and I hate seeing him like this and if he moves out its just going to get worse, so good luck to him.

He's really going to need it.

Kose medicated Sekkisei Lotion & Emulsion

HOLY SHIT lol I am so sorry I have not posted in SO LONG! I hate school so much! lol, I'll have to give a monthly update at some point but I hope this will hold you over till then :P A lot of things have happened... lol

I stopped using the Nature Republic truffle stuff because I think it just stopped working on my skin and I remember reading a review on this product somewhere and wanting to try it but was like eh.. this stuff is too expensive for me. But I decided to bite the bullet and invest (Purchased on Sasa)

These products are one of the best selling Japanese skincare products available on Sasa O_O

So far I've been using this stuff for about 2 months now.

Giant bottles!

Ok not giant but these will last a LONG time. The toner is 360mL and the emulsion is 140mL and for the price of both products, its super worth it. I wanted to try the SK-II products at first but its so expensive for just the toner I didn't want to try it just yet so I ended up with these and boy am I super happy with them!

Tops

Glad that the toner doesn't have a gaping hole in the top that some products have, I found out I could've bought the toner with a pump -__-' but its too late for that now LOL. At least the emulsion has a pump :P

The toner is sort of milky in terms of looks but its just like any toner (watery consistency) and it has a distinct scent, it doesn't smell bad its just not floral or fruity.. medicinal? LOL I CAN'T DESCRIBE SCENTS! lol

The emulsion is not thick at all and a little goes a LONG way, it spreads across the skin really easily and is quickly absorbed.

Overall results, I feel like my skin texture is much smoother and softer and that my red patches on my face are slowly disappearing when I use this.

 I will totally purchase this again (unless it stops working on my skin) I'm glad that there are some amazing products out there that aren't totally gonna rob you lol.

NYX: Soft Matte Lip Cream

Istanbul

I guess just in time for Valentines day? What are you all doing? We're going to see Robocop LOL so romantic... Finally got around to doing this post, I've been putting it off for a while now but I have the time to do it since its reading break at school! ^__^

Istanbul on

Istanbul is a pale pink, Steve says he can't tell if I'm wearing it or if its my natural color but its noticeable because of the texture. I have no idea why it isn't showing properly on camera >.< ... but I have swatches at the bottom.

San Paulo

Darker color

I'm starting to like more pale colors, I guess maybe because its the "spring trend" going lighter. San Paulo is nice though, trying to avoid reds lately so this dark pinky/light purple is nice and subtle for spring.

Swatches

Top one is San Paulo and the bottom one is Istanbul. What's great about these is they're SUPER affordable!! (at least in North America) and because these have a matte finish they are kiss proof lol not food proof though* Plus! they smell good O_O

Dine Out Vancouver - C Restaurant

 Dine Out Festival!

Waiting for our table

Last year I didn't get a chance to go to any dine out festival restaurants (dine out is when restaurants in Vancouver feature a set menu from $18, $28 and $38 so basically you can eat at a super fancy restaurant for $38 minimum O_O) Mainly because Steve was a lazy butt and doesn't like to go out in public -___-'

Me and Steve had plans with his friend and his girlfriend to find a place and eat so we picked this place since it had a reservation open through open table and according to the open table website it was good so we picked this place.

 Complimentary Champagne

We waited for over an hour even though we had a reservation and Steve was getting so pissed off because there was a huge group of people that came in after us and got seated first. I told him maybe they had a reservation, I don't know! No point being a douche to the staff at the restaurant.

 Complimentary Hors d'oeuvres

I guess they knew we waited for over an hour even though we had a reservation! They were a seared tuna piece with some soy/vinegar sauce, smoked salmon with cream cheese, a random quail egg and dill and a pickled beet ^__^

Appetizer! I splurged a little

I ordered foie gras because I never had it before but I'm aware of what it is and this was SO GOOD, a little small (as expected) but it was so good. I had to pay a bit extra for this but I think it was worth it, just wish I was bigger lol.

 Steve's Appetizer! Lobster Bisque

Or as he calls it biscuit lol. This was surprisingly salty, I'm used to lobster or even crab bisques being on the sweet and savory side instead of the salty side, I was a little disappointed but it wasn't terrible.

These were grilled nicely, the whole dish was nicely pulled together and I thought the fried fish skin was pretty cool lol (I thought it was a pork rind lol)

 Everyone but Steve got the steak entree

This was odd lol. There's a piece of slow braised beef in this dish which I thought totally threw off the whole dish because it had a weird taste lol, everyone who ordered the beef dish at our table was like wtf is this? lol but the sliced steak pieces were good, just wish there was more.

 Steve's Entree - Lobster

He had to pay like $20 extra (obviously its lobster) I'm generally not a big fan of lobster, this was alright, I only had like one piece. I prefer crab over lobster but Steve seemed to enjoy it, but he said he's had lobster entrees at other restaurants that were better than this.

So this was a panna cotta with basil sorbet, the sorbet was so odd lol but in a good way, super surprising lol, it ties in with the dish really well, especially with the berry soupy stuff LOL I don't know the correct terms! Only complaint wish the panna cotta was less yogurty and more firm otherwise A+.

Steve's friends Dessert - Chocolate mousse

I'm not a fan of chocolate but this was really good, it had a great smooth texture and light taste it was a good way to end a meal, wish I got this instead of the panna cotta lol.

Unfortunately the dine out festival has ended T_T but at least I got to eat at two restaurants this year ^__^ as for the C restaurant... I'm really not sure if I would go back and eat there with their regular menu, we were just a bit peeved about having to wait for over an hour even though we had a reservation, otherwise we would've just went somewhere else and waited an hour at a different restaurant with a better menu.

January Updates

 Foggy school day

 Its been a while since I wrote a post >.< My bad! I've been super busy with school this semester. I've picked up way more classes than last semester so most of my time has been dedicated to that.

 Psych Class lol

You know what's funny is that I'm taking a Computer Science class at school and one of the projects is to start your own blog LOL and I was like umm.. I don't want to say anything to the prof :P lol

I had my first exam on friday (24th) for psychology and I think I totally bombed that exam T_T SO HARD WTF!!!!!!!!

If you follow me on Instagram (probably not I don't have many followers :P) I've been spamming the shit out of this one photo for a raffle by Ravish Sands because I want Ashley to win a suit by them for an upcoming show she's doing lol. So, sorry about that! lol

I'm changing up my skincare routine this week since I'm pretty sure I've gotten the most use out of the products I have been using. Its gotten to the point where these products aren't really doing anything for my skin anymore. So its time for an update!

Lately Monet has been acting up and barking nonstop its super annoying and I know its pissing off everyone in the house. At times like this I wish they sent her back to Montreal >.< such a bratty dog.

I don't think I put up any New Year resolutions :P lol come to think of it I don't think I fulfilled any from last year LOL ... actually I don't remember what I put for last year lol

This year I want to:

- Learn to drive (lessons on Sunday!)
- Pass all my classes lol
- Lose some weight lol

Bazaam! That doesn't sound too hard.. start out small lol
