Sasa Haul

Splurged just a little o.O

I haven't really spent money on an expensive product in a long long time especially for my skin, which I should take into consideration since I want to have nice skin for as long as I can manage it :P I think most people do lol.

I also wanted to take a break from Korean products since I've been using them for a while now. The Nature Republic truffle one eventually stopped working on my skin as well as the Juju cosmetics and I noticed more redness than usual.

 Kose Medicated Sekkisei Cosmetic Lotion

I considered buying the SK-II facial treatment essence but its just so damn expensive for a bottle $300+ for 11oz? (325ml) no thanks so I started looking for a product that's just as highly rated on Sasa but affordable and I found this.

This has tons of good reviews and I paid like $50 for 360ml of product O_O I also got the emulsion and the total was basically $100 so I think its a good deal for a lot of product.

 Bio-essence products!

I'm running low on the ampoule that I've been using and I've known about Bio-essence for a while now and I hear their products are pretty good so I ordered these serums when there was a deal on Sasa. I don't actually think they sell the whitening serum anymore, they have a small bottle version but not the bigger size that I ordered.

I thought I might as well give it a try since I haven't used a foam cleanser in a while and Methode Swiss has a good reputation. Maybe this will be a life changing product :P

December Updates

What an end to the entire year, this month was so relaxing, the beginning at least lol. Mainly because I had like a month off from school (no classes, exams finished early) and because Steve's mom went away for like a week (wish it was longer T_T) and you know what she did as soon as she came back? Asked Steve to do her school homework and school project while she just sat around and relaxed >.<

His mom seems to be extra clingy since she came back which is overly annoying, like having princess syndrome. She woke us up in the middle of the night to plug in the ipad right beside her bed -___-' like wtf. She also woke us up super early in the morning to tell Steve that the heat isn't coming on in her car (you gotta wait, stupid!) its overly stressful when she's at home. Its like when she left and came back she decided "hey I can get away with my son doing everything for me so I might as well take advantage of him and his girlfriend" Umm fuck you no, you know how to fucking pump gas into a car/buy grapes!!!!!!!!!! Man where is karma when you need it lol.

Cute but stupid

Speaking of stress, my stupid mom decided she can take care of two dogs at once because she's basically getting paid, but in reality, she sucks at taking care of people let alone animals. She's killed one dog before because she thought a puppy doesn't need a leash, so it got hit by a car. Her excuse? "it committed suicide" uh.. no. The dog pictured above has high anxiety issues when its left alone and is super people dependent. If there is nobody upstairs with him he will bark and howl until someone goes up there. SO ANNOYED! And on top of that we have a super nice tenant that I hope doesn't move out because of these stupid animals.

Woo I got most of the classes I want this semester ^__^ so I'm pretty happy right now.. but I still have to buy books for the semester so that's gonna set me back quite a bit >.< poops lol. Class starts tomorrow for me and my sleep schedule has been super messed up lately >.< (sleeping super late and waking up late) its all thanks to Steve because we moved his computer from the living room into our bedroom and he likes to play games super late or watch anime -___-' lol.

 Lotus Root Soup

I did a lot of cooking this month, specifically soups and this one is my favorite :P so easy to make and tummy warming :P Chinese soups FTW!

 Steve's birthday dinner

I took Steve out for his birthday dinner when we went to go visit Ashley since I thought it would be hectic for us to do it when his birthday actually came around. We went to Black Bottle in Bellevue and it was so goooood.

Steve ordered a local beer and I ordered a cocktail that was really bitter and full of alcohol, I fell asleep as soon as we got home :P LOL

 Fried Chicken

Ashley suggested these to us, they were good but I'm a fried chicken snob lol so obviously I wanted more. The sauce was a nice compliment to the chicken.

The food came out quick which was nice.

 Clams with chorizo

This came in a really nice broth. Generally I don't really like clams but I had this once and had to get it again, Steve ended up eating like all the clams -___-' I only had like 3 lol but he let me have most of the broth ^__^

Pork Belly and Kimchi

It wasn't as good as I thought it was, it was alright but I probably won't be ordering this again.

Fennel and Sausage Flat bread?

I thought that the flat bread was too much food and I was right lol, I had only two pieces and Steve ate the rest lol but it was good but we found a super hard piece of rock or something in it >.<

I didn't want this LOL

Steve ordered another dish, this one is vegetarian and its roasted eggplants, roasted red peppers, a nice mozzarella with some balsamic sauce. I ate a bit but that was it.

BEST THING EVER!

This is the best panna cotta ever! This is earl grey panna cotta O_O I would eat this everyday if I could. Steve liked it too and he generally doesn't like many desserts.

Christmas Dinner Setting

We were invited to a nice Christmas dinner at Ashley's Mother-in-law's husbands daughters house LOL ok that was a lot.. maybe this would be easier Ashley's husbands step sister? LOL I don't know but it was a very large dinner and there were many guests.

Ashley's on a diet so she didn't get a chance to eat the food they made but she kept asking us what some food tasted like lol.

SO MUCH FOOOD

The dinner was so great! Everything was delicious and I know a lot of hard work went into this dinner >.< Wish I brought something to contribute to this dinner.

Some of the stuff on this plate I've never had before like the marshmallow thing on the left, the white balls (didn't try those actually -__-') There was like a brittle thing, gingerbread and short cookies.

Steve's second birthday dinner

We went out for another birthday dinner for Steve on Boxing day with a couple of friends and of course we had a few drinks :)

We got some Toro (pork belly?) and uhh.. I'm not actually sure what this other one is LOL but the toro is the best!

I don't think its bacon.. lol I think it was thin pork meat wrapped around it, but it was pretty good O_O

Ebi Mayo

Basically battered fried shrimp with a spicy mayonnaise lol but these are always good no matter where you go.

Chicken Karaage

Fried chicken! This was alright.. lol I love super crispy fried chicken and this wasn't crispy enough for me.. lol

I don't remember what this was

It was not worth it LOL. It all tasted the same to me, I mean it wasn't bad tasting but for something that is supposed to have variety it all just blended together and it seemed like you were eating the same thing.

Steve's mom couldn't find the product I wanted so she got me these instead. $40 for 3 boxes at the duty free? Seriously next time I go to Korea I'm only going to shop at the duty free lol.

The Face Shop: Real Nature Mask - Lemon

Lemon Sheet Mask

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We're gonna start this year off with a skincare product! Hope you all had a good time partying (remember to refresh your skin with a sheet mask ^_~)

Its been a while since I talked about a sheet mask and I haven't used any new ones since I have a huge pile of the same ones I've been trying to get rid of and it takes a while since I only use sheet masks twice a week (if I can remember)

I was given these sheet masks from Steve's mom from her visit from like last year >.< and I finally got around to trying these.

The back

What this mask claims it does: A brightening mask sheet containing fresh lemon extract to brighten dull skin tone while maintaining translucence.

I've had some trouble in the past with The Face Shop sheet masks.. like the kelp one... and the mung bean one in terms of the quality of the actual sheet.

Huge Improvement

This sheet mask isn't constructed in a way where it looks like your face is falling apart lol. It retains the moisture much better than the previous ones (doesn't dry out by the time you are done with it) and the sheet has a much smoother texture to it. Its still not as good as the My beauty diary sheets though lol but its a huge improvement since the last time I used the face shop sheet masks.

As for the essence, it definitely smells lemony, it sort of reminds me of lysol disinfecting wipes.. not in a bad way, I mean it smells good lol. I didn't really have much of a problem with the essences of the previous sheet masks I've used and this one is just as nice. I didn't notice brightening effects or anything :P but the skin always feels nice after a sheet mask so its definitely worth a try. These are inexpensive anyways (most of the time) and it didn't break me out.

Give them a shot! They're much improved since last time :P

Urban Decay: Revolution Lipstick - Catfight

Tiny Box!

You guys are gonna get a whole bunch of lip product reviews lol!

Ashley spoiled me and gifted me one of the Urban Decay lipsticks and I love it!

I've only bought cheap lipsticks in the past and holy smokes do these blow them out of the water lol.

Catfight & Native (post coming later)

I know they aren't that expensive but they do have a luxurious feel (to me at least) Honestly I don't think I'd ever spend more than $25 on a lip product O_O unless I had the financial means :P lol. These are definitely worth the try if you are willing to spend $20+ on these babies..

The packaging on this product is so nice, it doesn't feel cheap in the hand or anything, the material is really lovely.

Vaavoom!

These are so pigmented and they stay on your lips for a long time! I haven't used it enough to get it to become a creamy texture yet but its starting to get there, just have to use it a few more times.

Glam up a lazy outfit lol

Feels matte on the lips so far but not drying. Super pigmented and easy to apply, these can stay on your lips for a long time even after eating/drinking (for me at least) and you don't really need to apply a lot to get a great color pay off, so these can last a long time.

 I would probably buy the whole collection O_O if I had the moneys lol. Definitely worth a try if you want to spoil yourself but don't want to spend a whole butt load of money. I think Sephora has a really good return policy my friend buys tons of products a month but ends up returning them after trying them (if she doesn't like it or thinks that the price isn't worth it) but read it before deciding on doing that :P

I also have a nude color one I haven't tried yet, so a post will come up for that.

Rimmel: Apocolips Lip Lacquer - 101 Celestial

101 Celestial

I figure I'll do these in parts since doing it all at once will take too long >.< lol. This is the total opposite of Big Bang, its a nice light pink color that's subtle but cute :)

Awkward smile lol

Very nice nude/pink color, its basically an enhancement of your lips. I find this one wears off a little more easily after eating/drinking but you only really need to apply one layer on the lips anyways to get the pigment on and you'd probably have to eat and drink a lot to get it off.

I had a cup of coffee out with my friends and it didn't wear off that much (wore off a little) and its not drying on my lips either.

What do you think? I would purchase again ($9! cdn O..O!!) totally worth trying at least!

Rimmel: Apocolips Lip Lacquer - 400 Big Bang

Big Bang

As soon as I saw the ad for these on Youtube I went out and got these lol. I've been waiting for these for a year, I saw a few youtubers and bloggers from the UK using these and I wanted to try them and I was so close to ordering them on ASOS but I'm glad that I didn't since they came out here :P

Christmas Party Time lol (and boobies lol)

ONE LAYER! So pigmented and surprisingly non-drying (at least for my lips) These are not kiss proof and can surprisingly survive a meal but may need a little bit of a touch up but its not that noticeable O_O and these aren't as glossy/shiny as you would think, they're quite matte.

Would I buy again? Hell yes! These are amazing! I love them, I think I've abandoned the cheap/affordable lipsticks for now and moved on to cheap/affordable lip glosses ^__^

Go pick them up! Go go go!
