Nature Republic - Moroco Ghassoul Pore Pack Update

A long awaited update

I've been meaning to update some previous posts but with not much downtime its kind of hard to do. Now that school is done (at least the theory portion of it) I finally have some time to post things. Although, I haven't been purchasing many products the past few months (poor student budget >.<) so I shall start updating the old shitty posts that I crappily wrote lol.

So, I waited until a time where my skin was really shitty lol because this product has the best affect on my skin when its at its worst lol. As I'm writing this, my skin is super oily, I have tons of clogged pores and a considerable amount of redness in my skin.

You can see how uneven the texture of my skin is in this picture (bumps in my skin because of my clogged pores) and some redness, not much shine due to lighting? lol but my skin is pretty oily.

I tend to use this product before I get my period (my skin is at its worst during this time) or once a week if I feel that my skin needs a boost.

Yeah.. I've had this product for a long time so it can get super messy lol

I haven't used any other clay mask since I have been using this (either too poor or can't find one with a decent price) but I'm really happy about this product.

Spread Out

Spreads out smoothly and smells so good (although as I mentioned before the scent can be a bit overwhelming) At times I feel like when I first apply the product, it kind of burns LOL but its not bad. I feel like it dries out your skin just a bit so make sure you apply toner and moisturizer afterwards.

I tried looking online to see if I could repurchase the same one, but it seems that either my searching skills suck or they don't make this product anymore. Nature Republic does make a clay pack still but its called the Hawaiian Fresh Clay Pack, not entirely sure if its the same one but I will purchase it to see if it is.

Let me know if you can find this product online somewhere >.< but let me know if you know where I can repurchase this online :)

December Update

This is basically going to be a few months worth of updates since I don't post as much anymore. Now that I'm on Christmas break I finally have the time to sit down and write a proper post :)

School

I'm almost done school! Its taken up the majority of my time, I only see Steve like once a week lol since I have no time to do anything. I'm going to school to become a medical lab assistant and the past two months. I've been super tired probably due to blood loss LOL. Its been tough but I'm contemplating whether I should go back to school for another program my school offers, but I guess I will wait and see.

Yesterday we had our final for microbiology which was almost cancelled because this random alarm went off lol but we ended up doing the written exam (it was a procedural final and a written final) we did do the procedural but it was quicker than normal because of the alarm.

I made some good friends from the class but I have a feeling I will lose touch of some of them super quick after we graduate. Two for sure I know I will try to keep my friendship with but others... who knows.

Just two more months of school and then I'm done! :)

Family

Next week we go to Ashleys!! WOOO but I'm so broke, like really broke that I'm not even sure if I should go or not ahahahah, but if I get a job after I graduate I won't be able to see Ashley or her husband until.. who knows?

I have a feeling my dad feels sad because none of his daughters will be home for the holidays but its not like we ever celebrated christmas to begin with. 

My mom is getting crazier by the day and I have a feeling she actually has to kill someone with the car until she gets her license taken away or for her case to be taken seriously because her driving is fucking insane. I cringe every time I get in the car and watch her drive >.<

Steve and his family

Oh boy... this one might be a long one lol

Let's see where to start, Steve's mom didn't get some work for a few weeks and in between that time I swear to god she went absolutely insane. She kept getting pissed off at Steve for not doing shit for her (like pay bills, buy groceries, get gas for her car) she got pissed off to the point where she would slam doors and freak the fuck out and he would get super pissed, then I would get pissed. 

I told him: "she's got no excuse not to do any of those things, you're (steve) working full time and she's not working right now and she's at home all the time. She has all the time in the world to do that shit, why is she making you do it? Not only that you have a sister who is a secretary who can do all of those things, why doesn't she ask her to do it, why does it always have to be you? She's not stupid as far as I know, just being lazy"

He was like yeah wtf, I guess he never looked at it from my point of view but he freaked out at her and said all the shit I said and she's backed off for a bit but I know its not going to last. The thing is he allows her to do all of that by enabling her, he'll do stuff to shut her up but it doesn't teach her any thing. It really makes me wonder what he will do in the future when he moves out and she has to do all that stuff for herself. She'll probably just bribe him with money to do it for her - that's my guess.

His sister started working as a executive secretary at a hotel in Vancouver. It makes me wonder how her work ethic is because when she's at home, she's super lazy, she doesn't want to do anything, she even gets his mom to drive her to and from the work place where she could bus easily there. Plus when she goes out drinking with her friends she gets their mom to pick her up all the way from downtown but when Steve needs a lift when he's been drinking he has to take a bus home because they both are too lazy to go pick him up.. wtf!

Steve's mom freaked out at Steve for playing video games and said to him "you don't give a shit about the family, all you care about is yourself" (because he plays video games LOL) and it made me wonder what role she thinks his sister is playing in the family. But she probably gets to get away with things like this because she's a girl and I know his mom likes to emphasize gender roles "you're my son you're supposed to do things for me" that bullshit.

HOLY SHIT, lol

I totally underestimated the amount of time and effort that went into this program, whoever thought of 3 weeks of anatomy and physiology with tests EVERYDAY must have been insane lol. Basically you learn a chapter in one day and do the test for it the next day...

I finished on Thursday :D I was highly stressed out and I kind of think I was losing too much hair out of my head O_O but as soon as my teacher told me my mark I just felt a giant weight lift off of my shoulders :) but I just started taking biotin to see if my hair will get better or not.. will update on that in a few weeks :)

A few people didn't make it through the class and might be asked to leave the program if they don't get a minimum mark of 70% on their re-write exam, so I hope they make it :)

On another note, I got my scrubs from school... and they're freaking massive LOL. I ordered a size small for the top and a medium for the bottom (big booty according to Steve lol) but they're so long haha

its like a freaking dress lol

I have a different set of scrubs that I ordered from Amazon (small top and extra small pants lol) and they're fine but these... are interesting sizes lol.

T-minus 5 more months until I graduate! I'm crossing my fingers for a job :)

Monet Update

Day 2 after accident.

The first night she had a lot of trouble breathing and had to get a chest tube put in. Its a good thing we brought her to the 24 hour Emergency clinic in Vancouver otherwise Steve's mom wanted to bring her home to see if she would just get better on her own (she would have died) the first 12 hours were pretty critical and we left the Emergency clinic at about 3AM.

At 9AM the clinic told us to phone them to get an update on Monet which we did. They said she was doing much better and they weren't taking a lot of air out of the chest tube like they when she came in and that it looks like that its healing on its own so that there was a high probability that she wouldn't need surgery but we couldn't rule it out yet.

The other major concern was her pelvis which was fractured too but wasn't a big issue at the time. They said that she'll probably need pelvic surgery which costs like $8000 (that's the surgery plus after care -___-') which them prompted Steve's mom to go look for alternative options because they didn't want to go through a finance company to get the funds for her surgeries and after care. She called her Korean friend who said that some random doctor on Davie St. was good just because he's Korean... yeah. Then we called them and they're not a 24 hour clinic so she'd have to be transferred back to the 24 hour place anyways there's no point stressing her out even more by moving her around too much.

Then she called her other friend who has their old dog, Heaven (that's the dogs name) Steve got that dog soon after he came to Canada and gave him away like 2 years ago because he moved into an apartment and they don't allow pets. Anyways I digress, the woman who now owns him said to go to the vet they take Heaven to which is like 45 minutes away from where she is staying at so transporting her would be hell but his mom made an appointment anyway -___-' which me and Steve ended up going to instead of her >.<


We went all the way to Surrey to visit this veterinarian only with Monet's medical files and x-ray and from what he could see all he said was that there have been cases where dogs had worse fractures than she had and they were bed ridden the whole time and got better without surgery. That alone probably saved them nearly $10,000

Later that night we went and visited Monet and we decided that another 24 hours at that medical clinic would probably be a good idea. We also had a short visit with her as well as got an update on what they have done and what they plan on doing.

She usually has her ears pointed up and they also shaved part of her to put in the chest tube

She also barely ate and drank any water

So they told us that she did have a little rectal exam and they found blood in there and felt something sharp in there which could be part of her pelvic bone. They're not sure if a bone has ripped through her intestine but at the moment it doesn't appear it has but we're looking out for that. So another $1000 spent for another overnight -___-'

Day 3

She has made major improvements. It looks like everything is well for her chest and that her chest tube can come out tomorrow ^__^ but they're keeping it in overnight just to make sure. Her little IV thing can come out tomorrow as well, they were worried that her since its her first night home she may need to come back so they left the chest tube and the IV line in.

We went to the Vancouver Animal Emergency Clinic at around 4PM to pick her up and bring her to the family vet. The car ride sucked, she kept trying to get out of the little box they gave us lol. We got to the family vet by 5PM cause of stupid traffic (the fireworks happened last night)

What a difference a day can do

Anyways at the vet they were all happy to see she was ok. They called her the "miracle dog" they didn't expect her to survive and they told us the things that we should look out for (like her breathing, gum color, blood in poop) they also wanted us to try to get her to eat but that hasn't happened yet.

So now we have to stay up all night to document her breathing every 2 hours and check her gums to make sure she is getting proper oxygen. Plus we have to give her medication every 8 and 12 hours (we got 3 different medicines to give her) poop but so far so good.

She's slept most of the time she's been home and things are looking up for her. She has a pain patch on her that will continuously give her pain relief for like 3-5 days which is awesome! We will see what the doctors say tomorrow for her check up ^__^ but so far so good don't think there will be anymore trouble for tonight.

Nature Republic: Snail Therapy BB Cream #2 (Updated)

 Some of you remember I wrote a post on this a while back

I wrote a crappy blog post on this product a while back lol. I didn't show you how the product even looked on my skin so I'm updating this post.

I think being in the hot weather is the best time to test out bb cream, at least for me. My skin is at its absolute worst LOL. Excessively oily, larger pores, more redness due to heat, yeah best time to test lol at least not many blemishes yet... there's still time lol.

 Sponge Applicator

So I've used the sponge applicator and I've used a brush to apply. Honestly I prefer using the brush over the sponge only because I think the sponge leaves my skin a little streaky (probably using it wrong LOL) AND I have difficulties trying to take it off to clean it lol so I just stick to the brush now hahaha.

So overall what do you think?

It covers quite well no redness seen and it gives my skin a nice glow to it. I've noticed over time that my skin does get shiny but I probably will need a better setting powder and I'm also not wearing a primer underneath in this photo so it should help with the shininess.

Would I buy again? Hmm..

I broke out! NOOO

I don't know if I want to spend $20+ for a BB cream unless it was amazing but I want to try some other ones before I decide to repurchase any plus it made me break out like crazy so I want one for sensitive skin, this was literally a day after having it on so its like WTF happened. I used a makeup remover to remove the face makeup and then cleansed right after.. this isn't the first time its happened either.

I'm slowly but surely learning how to use and put on makeup, I just have to figure out eyeliner LOL I think that will be my most difficult challenge...

April Update Part 2

Sorry for the lack of posts lately...

So... Steve's mom and sister are here...

His sister brought her dog... and then I get the news that his mom wants his sister to concentrate on school so she's making us take care of her dog. FUCKING DID NOT EVEN ASK!!!!!!! Not only that the dog isn't house trained, its not spayed so she'll get her period or something and is super whiny if you leave! 

This is why you shouldn't date an Asian person who's family doesn't live in the same city... make sure they have their own place to live and that their mom isn't inconsiderate -___-'

Not only that we found out that his sister is going back to Korea in July and when she comes back she's going to bring their grandma here to visit minimum 1 month to a maximum of 6!!!!! WTF!!

They want to open a business here in Vancouver, specifically a sushi restaurant... I was like really? Do you know how many sushi restaurants are here?! I don't think they could stand apart from any other sushi restaurant not only that they don't have any experience with working in a restaurant, they want the dad to be a chef and he has never worked in a kitchen ever! I told his sister that they should just open a food truck, seems less risky than paying rent for an establishment and they can change the menu on a daily basis if they wanted to, at least that's what I would do.

For example look at Japadog, they started out with a few hotdog stands and now they have an actual sit down restaurant and they even have a Japadog restaurant in New York!

Ashley and her husband came up to pick up their friends and we were going to go do the grouse grind but it was closed. So then we had the plan to go run on the seawall instead -____-'

Such a gorgeous day for a run!

But... I didn't end up running LOL, I walked instead. They totally just zoomed passed me.. T_T I need to exercise more lol. Its a good thing we went when we did because it started pouring rain right when we got back to Ashley's mother-in-laws house.

The reason why I didn't run was because I walked some stupid trail to the gym the other day and that took me an hour to get through and my shoes sucked butt plus it was pouring rain, not a good idea. My shoes were digging into the back of my foot and eventually the skin on the back of my foot ripped >.< Yay! lol. Before I got to the gym I was like "oh I'm so lucky my feet aren't wet from the rain" and then I walked into a massive puddle -___-' WTF! lol. My feet dried from being at the gym and then I went to meet my friends at the mall across the street for a cup of tea and I walk into ANOTHER giant puddle that soaked my feet >.< I was not impressed lol.

 When Ashley was here they took me to the foundation restaurant in Vancouver, which is a vegetarian dive like restaurant. Her husband ordered this giant platter which was $12 O_O

Since they're on a diet they don't order crappy food but this place has MASSIVE nachos that I want, so I'm going to go back with Steve and get them lol.

 I got some quinoa burger thing which was a little dry to be honest but tasted alright 

it was quite big

We also had dinner with Ashley's friends from Montreal that run this company which is worth checking out :D and we ordered tons of sushi >.< which I didn't end up taking a photo of (wish I did)

I always feel bad when Ashley's husband pays for me, one day I'm going to stick like $10,000 somewhere in their house LOL, like seriously I'll put it in one of his shoes or something, its a nice gesture and all but I always feel like a user >.< 

I'll pay you back one day!

Mini-Trip to Seattle Again

Because Steve's mom is coming we did a huge massive clean out of the house. I went nuts and bleached and scrubbed the crap out of the floors, forgot to clean the shower which I regret because I know she's going to flip her lid and be like "YOU GUYS ARE SO MESSY!!!!!!!!" >..<

We also re-arranged the living room so now there's more space plus she won't go super bitch and be like "turn off the heat cause its loud" doesn't bug anyone else but you!!! lol. Plus we unexpectedly got the news that Steve's sister is coming to Vancouver too lol, she randomly text messages me and says "I'm coming on Friday!" LOL I was like holy randomness! She didn't even tell Steve lol which he wasn't too impressed with, he wants his family to save money so he's going to lecture the shit out of her when she comes lol.

Anyways right now we're at Ashley's place in Seattle mainly because Steve wanted to get parts for his car -____-' but whatever I'm here cause I wanted to stock up on beauty supplies that I'm running out of at home and get some new stuff as well. I don't know why but I've been wanting to try out make-up more and more.

I started using the BB cream I got in Hawaii (Nature Republic Snail Therapy BB Cream) which I like a lot but I want to purchase some other ones to see how well it is O.O new brands! Lol.

On another note, Ashley tried to put on eye makeup on me (eyeliner, mascara) but it didn't show up well because my eyes are fucked up because I have the mono-lid LOL. I told her I looked like a tired hooker lol Steve liked it. Should go have a double eyelid surgery O_O lol or purchase some eyelid tape/glue.

Lately my sleep schedule has been super fucked. For the past 2 weeks I've been going to bed between 4-6AM and waking up at like 3-4PM. When we arrived at Ashley's place last night I barely got any sleep the day before, so I'm hoping that it fixed itself and when midnight rolled around I was super tired but couldn't sleep so I decided to get super drunk which I totally regret LOL.

My skin totally broke out too because I put on too much BB cream the other day and didn't wash it out properly >.< but whatever I'll have to live with it.

We went shopping today and I totally stocked up on a lot of stuff! A lot of shampoo, some lipsticks and some other necessities for the house ^__^

We'll probably pick up more stuff on the way up since we leave tomorrow but since I haven't posted anything in a while I thought I would add a short update.

Will attempt to update in a day or two..

March Update 2013

I'm a sad panda right now T_T lol

I really really wanted to go to the Vancouver Auto show this year because we didn't go last year and I also wanted to go to the Plenty warehouse sale T_T but I'M SO FUCKING BROKE! unless some miracle happens and I randomly get money by tomorrow lol but I don't think that's going to happen so I'm pretty sad T_T lame..

School is over soon wahoo! What am I going to do this summer? ... will probably try to get a part-time job just to get away from Steve's fucking mom. She didn't freaking tell us how long she's going to stay for either (typical) *sigh* and if she does give us a date of when she's leaving she'll change it last minute and give us a huge headache >__< GRARGH!

Not much has really happened this month.. lol. I finally went to get my stomach checked out because it hurt for like 4 hours one night and I went to the hospital and was like WTF lol.

I don't get why I had to put on the stupid gown lol 

they stuck me in a recliner chair and got to stare at this fun stuff the whole time >.< woo!

I told the doctor that was there that I went to see a different doctor before and she was like "you have an ovarian cyst, ok bye!" didn't even fucking give me any proper tests to see if I actually had one or not and just told me to fucking have Tylennol -___-' wtf. But the doctor at the hospital was like "well generally women get ovarian cysts when they are ovulating but since you are on birth control you shouldn't be ovulating so we're gonna schedule you for an ultrasound" I was like FINALLY! lol STUPID OTHER DOCTOR!

Then I went for an ultrasound like a week later. They told me that I had to have a full bladder for the test and that I had to drink tons of water so that's what I did.. and when I went there I had to pee super bad lol plus it didn't help when the technician was pushing on my stomach... lol at least I didn't pee my pants.

Anyways I forgot to call the doctor.. so I'm going to have to do that tomorrow lol.

A few weeks ago I went to Japadog with my friend and it was awesome! lol I've been there before but I don't go often nor do I have hotdogs that often either. If you ever come visit Vancouver its a fast food you'll have to try, there's also a few locations in New York I think.. not sure if there are any in other places.

 We went to the sit down location and they have french fries! O_O

They're seasoned with Japanese seasoning stuff O.O

I got the croquette dog T_T so good!

The one with the grated radish was meh.. lol not much flavor in that one

and my friend got a ground pork one which was alright lol

I'll probably do a proper post for Japadog ^__^ but not right now.

Anyways its a long weekend coming up and it supposedly is going to be super gorgeous this weekend but I'll probably be stuck at home since I'm so broke (probably go out to go to the gym T_T) and I'm gonna be super depressed lol.

*edit* I just realized I was supposed to get a cheque from the government like a month ago and it never came! WTF CANADIAN GOVERNMENT!

February Update 2013

Short update, nothing really has happened this month.

Steve's mom is gone! WOOO!
but she'll be back in April T_T whyyy god! lol

Things have been so relaxed at home since she's left.
We wake up when we want when we have days off and Steve isn't randomly punching things because he gets mad when his mom bosses him around LOL.

I can't help but shake the feeling Steve's mom is planning things with him and he's not telling me. For example making him move out without telling me. I caught him looking at apartments on craigslist and he told me he was just bored... -___-' I go on Youtube when I'm bored! *sigh*

His friend recently passed away and he asked me what I thought of the situation.. I told him I didn't want to say because he would get pissed off -___-' which I will talk about later, I guess when everything cools off with that situation.

A majority of my Asian friends are going back this year and its totally making me jealous.. I want to go back too!  T_T but in the winter not in the summer lol. I'm hoping to plan Ashley and Amanda's Adventure Time Part 2! LOL Ash if you are reading this you are probably like wtf lol.

I'm leaning more towards going to Hong Kong because we've never been there (we as in Ashley and me and if she doesn't want to go then Steve lol) We know how to speak Cantonese so speaking and listening wouldn't be so difficult but reading will be hard lol. But i think it will be fun!!

I was going to ask my best friend to go but he said something about how Hong Kong is very business oriented but the people are really stupid so I was like fuck you plus I know he'll be super racist if he goes, so no. I'm not even going to mention that I'm going to him.

So I'm starting my plans on traveling in the winter time only for a week though, I'm not sure if anybody really wants to go with me though T_T lol. Any suggestions about HK would be helpful! :)

Interesting Search

Sorry for the lack of updates
I've been quite busy with school and getting Steve ready to go to Calgary.
Plus Steve's mom leaves on Wednesday! PARTY TIMMEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking through my stats a few days ago and I noticed somebody searched:
"How to fuck a Japanese tourist in ha...."
either Hawaii or Hanauma bay which I thought was pretty amusing.

I'm pretty sure its a guy who searched that lol. Plus I don't think many single Japanese girls would fly there with friends to party and sleep with guys, most girls I saw were with their families or their boyfriends.. lol, so good luck to you whoever searched that.

In other news my skin has been breaking out lately and I'm trying out one of the new sheet masks I bought from T & T and so far its niccceeeee! not sure how the final result will be but I like a good sheet mask! makes my skin feel so refreshed!

Steve is back from Calgary, didn't do too well with his job interview process >.< but I told him he'll have other opportunities anyways. I got out of school at 6:15 today (usually 6:30) and he told me his flight would arrive at 8:04 so I figured that by the time I took the skytrain to the airport and got a coffee/tea he would arrive. He sent me the itinerary and when I looked at it in the email it said his flight arrived at 10:04 and I was like WTF. So I waited like 3 hours for him at the airport. I was super GRUMPY -___-'

I don't think I've been in an airport for that long and not actually go somewhere >.< I WANT TO TRAVEL SOOOOON! Most of my friends are traveling to Asia this summer and I WANT TO GO TOOOOO but I'm so broke!!!!!!!!! T__T but I don't like traveling when its hot out anyways, I would prefer to go during Spring/Fall/Winter ^__^ I definitely prefer the colder climates than the warmer ones, my sensitive skin can't handle hot weather. Vancouver is a fun place in the summer not so much any other time of the year.

Poo maybe I will wait till winter rolls around probably go to Japan/Korea in the winter! :D I like bundling up.
