March Update 2013

I'm a sad panda right now T_T lol

I really really wanted to go to the Vancouver Auto show this year because we didn't go last year and I also wanted to go to the Plenty warehouse sale T_T but I'M SO FUCKING BROKE! unless some miracle happens and I randomly get money by tomorrow lol but I don't think that's going to happen so I'm pretty sad T_T lame..

School is over soon wahoo! What am I going to do this summer? ... will probably try to get a part-time job just to get away from Steve's fucking mom. She didn't freaking tell us how long she's going to stay for either (typical) *sigh* and if she does give us a date of when she's leaving she'll change it last minute and give us a huge headache >__< GRARGH!

Not much has really happened this month.. lol. I finally went to get my stomach checked out because it hurt for like 4 hours one night and I went to the hospital and was like WTF lol.

I don't get why I had to put on the stupid gown lol 

they stuck me in a recliner chair and got to stare at this fun stuff the whole time >.< woo!

I told the doctor that was there that I went to see a different doctor before and she was like "you have an ovarian cyst, ok bye!" didn't even fucking give me any proper tests to see if I actually had one or not and just told me to fucking have Tylennol -___-' wtf. But the doctor at the hospital was like "well generally women get ovarian cysts when they are ovulating but since you are on birth control you shouldn't be ovulating so we're gonna schedule you for an ultrasound" I was like FINALLY! lol STUPID OTHER DOCTOR!

Then I went for an ultrasound like a week later. They told me that I had to have a full bladder for the test and that I had to drink tons of water so that's what I did.. and when I went there I had to pee super bad lol plus it didn't help when the technician was pushing on my stomach... lol at least I didn't pee my pants.

Anyways I forgot to call the doctor.. so I'm going to have to do that tomorrow lol.

A few weeks ago I went to Japadog with my friend and it was awesome! lol I've been there before but I don't go often nor do I have hotdogs that often either. If you ever come visit Vancouver its a fast food you'll have to try, there's also a few locations in New York I think.. not sure if there are any in other places.

 We went to the sit down location and they have french fries! O_O

They're seasoned with Japanese seasoning stuff O.O

I got the croquette dog T_T so good!

The one with the grated radish was meh.. lol not much flavor in that one

and my friend got a ground pork one which was alright lol

I'll probably do a proper post for Japadog ^__^ but not right now.

Anyways its a long weekend coming up and it supposedly is going to be super gorgeous this weekend but I'll probably be stuck at home since I'm so broke (probably go out to go to the gym T_T) and I'm gonna be super depressed lol.

*edit* I just realized I was supposed to get a cheque from the government like a month ago and it never came! WTF CANADIAN GOVERNMENT!

Car Salesmen Part 2

Ok so I knew eventually Steve would get a new (used) car because he's been searching for one endlessly for the last few months.

He finally found something within his price range and he brought me with him to the car dealership to go check out the car. He had only one car in mind and it was a used Nissan Pathfinder.

Steve had already called the dealership earlier to make an appointment to see it and to make sure nobody bought it before he got there, because it seems that always happens lol. So we met with the girl salesperson, and she was quite outgoing which was nice, I'm used to stern older salesmen who have no personalities who are super pushy, so I was glad we got someone on the same wavelength as us.

When they pulled the car up to the front of the dealership I was like -___-' really? lol. The car had dents and scratches all over it, the sunroof didn't work, the glove box was broken, smelled like dirt/dust, almost all the interior lights were broken except for the driver/front passenger seat ones but not the trunk or the passengers in the back and they fucking tell us that they fixed everything? REALLY!? I think the only thing they did was fucking vacuum the car and put cardboard on the floor because the car didn't have any mats >.<

Steve wanted to get it regardless of the flaws because he just wants his mom to fucking drive here. So they were trying to come up with a deal for him. The sale price of the car was like $10,000 and Steve wanted to do a trade for trade for his car. His car is a newer (newer by 4 years), has less milege, no dents, a few small scratches and they told him they want $4000 extra for the crap car.

-___-' So we went to talk to the manager guy (I don't think he was the GM) anyways he based his car value on Craigslist.. he literally went on Craigslist and looked up "mitsubishi lancer" and appraised it based on what other dealerships were selling it at -___-' LOL as well as people trying to sell their cars privately if i knew they are going to do that I should've put random lancer posts on craigslist lol.

Steve wanted to see what kind of financing option he could do so the manager guy took us to see the finance person. She told us that the minimum to finance something was $6000 so she was trying to persuade him to buy a warranty for the car. The car has like 150 K on it and she was trying to sell Steve a warranty that would expire at 160 K for the next 3 years -___-' Steve was like no because it'll expire in like a year anyways and why pay for 3 years? its a rip off. She got SUPER BITCHY after, her attitude was horrendous basically belittled us. Anyways he needed a co-signer if he wanted to finance it and he just decided to talk to his mom and ask.

Later he went back and told them that he felt ripped off because $4000 extra for a fucked up car is not worth it and they told him that if he just paid $1000 they would give him the car as it was. Which he accepted >.< so now he has this crappy car lol.

He likes it but I feel like he got SUPER RIPPED OFF. I miss the lancer T_T it had heated seats lol. Seriously they should've done a trade for trade because the car that he got is so fucked. Plus they told him that they're going to do some "maintenance" on the lancer before they sell it which I don't think they even did on the pathfinder since lots of things are broken in the car.

Steve bought an exhaust for his lancer that was installed and they told him that they can't sell it with that and they have to take it off and put the original one back on (which we gave them) but then I noticed that they advertised his car on Craigslist and on Autotrader. So I have a feeling that they're going to try to sell it without giving it back to him. EXPLAIN YOURSELVES!!!!

They seem very unprofessional and unreliable.

Will update if they actually give the exhaust back if not.

Craigslist Scammers Part 2

I meant to write more for the previous post but I was so tired.
I swear I have undiagnosed ADD or something because my mind just wanders and I write about the most random crap lol (hence the Iphone cases lol)

Anyways, I did write a little bit about what happened to Steve when he tried to sell his car on craigslist. I did some googling and this is what they generally say:

Can you assure me that is in good state and that i will not be disappointed with it.

I'm ready to pay your asking price and to be honest, 

i wanted to buy this for my Dad and he is a mechanic, 

but the issue is I'm a marine biologist and i do have a contract to go for

 which starts tomorrow and am leaving any moment from now.

The contract is strictly no call due to the lack of reception on the sea area. 

But I'm able to access email anytime as we will make use of laptop 

so my only quickest payment option is PayPal as i can send money via PayPal anytime.

Since I'm requesting this transaction to be done via PayPal, 

i will be responsible for all the pay pal fee/charges on this transaction 

and if you don't have an account with paypal,its pretty easy, safe and secured to open one. 

Just log on to www.paypal.com. I hope we can make the purchase as fast as possible? 

I have a mover that will come for it once payment clears and they will be handling the title for me. i will like to see more pics i look forward to hear back from you soon.

Not very original yes?  you would think they would be more cunning now that people can easily google this lol. One day some guy that's a real marine biologist going on a real mission in Nigeria is going to be like "why doesn't anyone want to sell me anything?" LOL

This one is a bit different, they want to "send" you money first so it seems legit at first, anyways I'm not sure how the process works if you actually did provide all your information to them.

Google to the rescue! Apparently "paypal" will send you an email asking you for an "acceptance fee" which paypal will never ask you for. In the end what really happens is that you are actually stealing funds from another person's REAL account and YOU will eventually have to pay them back after they realize that you stole their money. Which gets me thinking, how the hell did these scammers get a hold of this person's paypal account? (scam within a scam? lol)

APARTMENT SCAMMERS

Like a year ago me and Steve were looking for an apartment in Burnaby (one of the more affordable areas to live in) and I was looking on Craigslist. I messaged a few nice ones (its like 1 bedroom for $850) something like that which isn't too farfetched for that area and the people didn't leave numbers and basically the fucking asshole who was messaging me wrote (something along the lines of):

"I'm currently on a business trip in South Africa/Nigeria/Europe (whatever) so I cannot show you the apartment, if you are interested you can send me money (via western union, money gram, paypal) and I will send you the key"

I'm like FUCK OFF seriously, you would think at least one would be legit, I messaged like 20 people one day and they're all fucking scammers! Does anyone actually fall for this one? this is probably the sketchiest one!

JOB SCAMMERS

I think this is typically for people who want to work as an assistant of some type in an office setting. What weirds me out about this one is that they ask you for your address and that you've already sent them your resume >.<

FULL NAME
FULL MAILING ADDRESS
CITY,STATE, ZIP CODE
HOME PHONE NUMBER
MOBILE NUMBER

Generally I think you would write down all your contact info in your resume so why would they be asking you this? I have read that some people will ask you for an identification photo (umm wtf, if you actually send that to them then you deserve to be scammed! WTF) what the hell do they need that for? to track you down in your neighbourhood and blackmail you?

These are the scams that I've seen I'm sure there's like a hundred more out there. I guess they kind of work since these scammers post the same thing over and over.

Now what I wonder is wtf do people do after they get scammed? cops probably won't do shit since its over the internet and chances are if you are sending money through Western Union its through your own freewill, they're not coercing you to do it so you can't really do anything. The bank won't give a shit unless you can't pay the money back then the credit bureau will come and get you. Maybe if you get media attention something good can come out of it but I doubt it. Good luck.
